Topic

Adopting an ‘Agile Mindset’ Approach to the Innovation & Transformation of a Hospital Pharmacy Service Delivery Model

Abstract

Obafemi will highlight some differences between managing and leading and discuss their ‘fit’ in VUCA-G (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous – Global) healthcare settings. He will talk about his experience of what, and most critically ‘who’, he had to change in the Pharmacy Department of the UK’s largest NHS Hospital Trust in order to create and lead an ‘agile innovation mindset’ internal culture.

Obafemi will share his leadership experiences, reflections and insights on personally leading a scrum-sized team that developed an award winning, new hospital clinical pharmacy service delivery model. He will focus on how and the ability to facilitate an ‘agile mindset culture’ is a key skill and component leaders require when facing ‘wicked problems’.
